Short Biography

PINDAR WONG is an internet pioneer, who co-founded the first licensed Internet Service Provider in Hong Kong in 1993. He is the Chairman of VeriFi (Hong Kong) Ltd, a discreet Internet Financial Infrastructure consultancy. He serves on the Advisory Board of Coindesk and in 2015 he helped organise Asia’s first and Phase 1 and 2 of

Currently, he serves on the Hong Kong Government’s Committee on Innovation, Technology and Re-industrialisation and the HK Trade Development Council’s Information and Communications Technology Services Advisory Committee.

In the past, Wong was the first Vice Chairman of ICANN, Commissioner on the Global Commission on Internet Governance, Chairman of the Asia Pacific Internet Association, alternate Chairman of Asia Pacific Network Information Center, Chairman of APRICOT, elected Trustee of the Internet Society and board member of Hong Kong’s Applied Science and Technology Research Institute.
